COVID UPDATE : Boxing Day Races

COVID-19 Cluster

Restricted to Access to Wellington Boxing Day Races

Following the NSW Government’s Public Health order on Monday 21 December 2020 applying to the Greater Sydney region, including the Blue Mountains, the Central Coast and Wollongong, Racing NSW has determined the following:

• Any person living in the Northern Beaches of Sydney or has visited the Northern Beaches within the past week must not attend a NSW racecourse, including Wellington Racecourse, until further notified;

• Any person who has attended the alert venues and locations listed on the NSW Government’s website must not attend a NSW racecourse, including Wellington Racecourse, until they have complied with self-isolation requirements.

Requirement to Self-Isolate

Any person who has attended any of the venues listed on the NSW Government website must not attend a NSW racecourse, get tested and self-isolate for a period of 14 days. Persons are not permitted to attend a NSW racecourse until a negative COVID-19 test has been provided to Racing NSW and the self-isolation period has been completed.

Racegoers attending Wellington’s Boxing Day races will be asked whether they are from or have visited the Greater Sydney region, including the Blue Mountains, the Central Coast and Wollongong.

If they reside in or have visited the Northern Beaches of Sydney or have visited any venue listed by the NSW Government, they will not be permitted to enter Wellington Racecourse and will be advised to have a COVID-19 test and self-isolate for a period of 14 days.
