We have a 5 race card and with 44 acceptances the crowd will be well entertained with quality horse racing throughout the day. Winter Racing returns to Wellington on the 9th July as we host the Mountain and Rivers Flying meeting. The feature race is the Open Sprint held over the 1100m and in 2018 it was won by MOLLASES trained by Dennis Bush from Forbes. The racing at Wellington continues on the 6th June as we gear up for our first winter meeting. The Benchmark 74 Handicap is the feature and it will attract some of the regions best middle distance horses looking to strike over the 1400m. As always we will offer a relaxed environment to watch the thoroughbreds race and with a total prizemoney pool of $154,000 we hope to showcase capacity fields all day long
The Wellington Race Club will host a Full TAB on the 20th May with a 7 race program that includes the BM66 Hcp (1700m) and Country Trained Only Class 2 Hcp (1400m). The track is in fantastic order and we are expected strong support for the meeting as always.
